To enhance their accessible transport fleet, Bournemouth Borough Council has recently purchased two Mellor Orion Plus accessible vehicles. The Orion Plus is designed to cater for those who are less mobile. The council understands that some people find public transport difficult to use and the Orion Plus will help them to have the freedom to travel with confidence and dignity.

Based on the Fiat Ducato Maxi the Orion Plus can seat up to 22 passengers or up to 5 wheelchairs and includes rapid side sliding electric door with locking, Front Ramp microswitch and buzzer, 2.5m long fold out ramp to rear, Eberspacher 4Kw Diesel air climate system and Cant rail tracking.
