Rochdale based Mellor is to showcase its star model, the Orion Accessible Bus at this year’s CV Show.

With its ultra flat low floor and wide aperture wheelchair access, Mellor’s Orion is extremely popular and held in high regard by bus operators and local authorities alike.

Robust and stylish in design with its lightweight bodywork, Orion offers varied and flexible seating combinations such as fixed, removable and tip/fold seats if required. The standard Orion has seating for up to 20 passengers or five wheelchairs, while Orion Plus has additional capacity for 22 passengers or five wheelchairs. Orion Extra accommodates 18 passengers, with two dedicated wheelchair positions situated behind the rear wheel arches.

Both of these operators and other Orion customers have enjoyed the versatility and fuel economy that this small bus delivers as well as all the benefits of a larger vehicle.

The Orion range is environmentally friendly too and is equipped with the latest Euro 6 diesel engine technology delivering fuel economy of up to 25 mpg. This makes it an excellent option for use on many local bus routes that are currently under threat, particularly those in rural areas.
