Mellor to unveil further innovations at EBE 2018

Euro Bus Expo 2018 will be the setting for not one, but two new reveals from the Rochdale-based manufacturer.

Underlining the company’s continued commitment to developing the future of flexible passenger transport, Mellor will take another step forward with a double unveiling of its latest evolution at this year’s exhibition.

From 30 October – 1 November, bus industry representatives from around the world will descend on Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre for the biannual bus and coach sector showcase, Euro Bus Expo.

The scene will be set for a twofold inauguration by Mellor, the culmination of many months of research, development, testing, and trials.

Over five decades, the company has built a reputation for its innovation and quality, carving out a niche in supplying efficient and accessible buses to UK operators. More recently, Mellor has made inroads into continental Europe, establishing a distributor network throughout Scandinavia, Germany, Austria, and the Benelux countries.

John Randerson, managing director for Mellor, said: “We are incredibly excited to be revealing these two new vehicles to the industry at this year’s EBE. They represent 12 months of hard work and significant investment in our vision for the future.

“Bus operators are increasingly seeking more cost-effective and flexible options for a range of routes. The new vehicles are designed to meet this shifting market demand. This, along with higher volume orders for existing products, has resulted in the need to expand our manufacturing capability. With our new production facility up and running, the next year also promises to be a busy one.”
