Choice is the key for Mellor Sigma

The most configurable electric bus range on the market

The Sigma range from Mellor is here. A completely new, all-electric bus range boasting no fewer than six distinct models; ‘city’ and ‘rural’ specifications, passenger capacities from 30 to 80, and numerous width and passenger door options. Today, Sigma represents the most configurable range of low-floor electric buses from any manufacturer in Europe.

With Sigma’s sheer variety of buses – and its model-specific choice of battery capacities –bus operators are offered a truly energy-efficient ‘zero compromise’ solution. The Sigma range from Mellor also emphasises the company’s approach to supplying size-, cost- and route-appropriate vehicles. The line-up includes componentry from established, industry-leading manufacturers such as ZF, Dana, Wabco CATL, Webasto, and Ventura to ensure best-in-class quality, reliability and aftersales

Dedicated customer care for total peace-of-mind

That quality and reliability is fully supported too, with Mellor having assembled a highly experienced Sigma team including dedicated customer support expertise from Aftermarket Manager Noel Jenkins, supported by a Programme Manager, Principle Engineer, and Technical Sales Support. The result is a wide-ranging, UK-based, 24/7 aftersales offering to deliver technical support and in-territory parts distribution wherever and whenever it’s needed.

Top sales executive joins Mellor

Mellor has also recruited Richard Matthews, one of the industry’s leading sales executives, to head-up sales for the Sigma range. In a high-profile move from ADL, Matthews comes to Mellor with the hugely exciting opportunity of introducing the all-new, purpose-built Sigma range to the UK market

With abundant experience, Matthews joins Mellor after a highly successful sales role with ADL. which saw him deliver impressive year-on-year growth over the last decade. His impressive CV also includes a previous General Sales Manager role with ADL and a senior Parts Directorship with Optare. Richard has an intimate knowledge of the bus fleet sector and its inherent customer requirements, and he is relishing the challenge ahead.

“Sigma is going to be a game changer,” he said, “and I’m very much looking forward to introducing the successful Mellor ethos that promotes lightweight, size and cost-appropriate buses as a value-added proposition on our journey to zero-carbon with new and existing customers.”
