Mellor, has forged a strategic alliance with Overland Custom Coach, designating them as the exclusive distributor for Mellor’s battery-electric models in the Canadian market. This partnership represents a significant milestone in Mellor’s expansion efforts and signifies its ambitious entry into the Canadian transit sector.

Teaming up with Overland Custom Coach, a trusted player in Canada’s transit market since 1981, provides Mellor with a strong foundation to introduce its innovative battery-electric Sigma range. As part of this collaboration, Overland Custom Coach will assume sales and service responsibilities for Mellor’s Sigma buses across Canada.

The state-of-the-art buses are equipped with a stainless steel monocoque design, lightweight construction, low-floor accessibility, and precision British engineering. The Sigma models range from 7 to 12 metres, so there is a bus to meet the unique requirements of all Canadian transit authorities. The Sigma family also boasts an impressive range exceeding 200 kilometres utilising cobalt-free LFP batteries.
This partnership aligns with Mellor’s international growth strategy, where Canada sits as a strategic target market. Mellor is actively exploring a number of additional new markets while fine-tuning its product offerings to cater to diverse global demands.
